A work disabled person with a degree of disability of 20% or more, permanently, who has experienced, due to this work injury, a significant decrease in his or her income that is not temporary, may request an increase in the percentage of disability degree.
*The increase/decrease will be made in accordance with the determination of the degree of disability
Conditions for submitting a claim:
- Eligibility for recognition of disability at a rate of at least 20%
 - If at least one year and no later than 5 years have passed since a Medical Board or Medical Appeals Board determined the degree of disability
 
Principles of the regulation
- The right to submit a request to the Authority Committee in case of income change is granted to both the insured and the National Insurance
 - The competence to increase or decrease the degree of disability due to a change in income is given to the Authority Committee without the need to transfer the case to a Medical Board
 - The Authority Committee may change a determination (according to Regulation 15 only), but the Committee does not have the authority to change the degree of medical disability that has been determined
 - The degree of disability may be increased or decreased at the currently existing rates: 1/4 (quarter), 1/3 (third), 1/2 (half)
 
"Authority Committee"
Comprises a doctor from the National Insurance, a work injury claims officer and a rehabilitation officer
The "Authority Committee" may determine a degree of permanent disability greater than half of the medical disability determined, with reference to the age and profession of the insured. 
The Committee will consider the injured person's ability to return to work and determine whether the disability has resulted in a significant decrease in the insured person's income on a permanent basis.
Income examination
Insurer's income in the quarter preceding the injury, compared to the quarter preceding the date of the Committee
- Employee - income will be calculated according to the data available at the National Insurance Institute (you can attach pay stubs in your possession)
 - Self-employed/controlling owner - according to VAT reports for the requested period
